Plan a visit

Come and see. That is the whole invitation.

Walking into a church you have never been to is a strange feeling for anybody. So here is exactly what a first Sunday at Countryside is like, before you have to find out in person.

Sunday School

10:00 a.m.

Morning Worship

11:00 a.m.

Sunday Evening

6:00 p.m.

Wednesday

7:00 p.m.

Four steps, and none of them hard

Your first Sunday, start to finish.

  1. Step 1

    Pick a service

Sunday morning at 11:00 is the easiest first visit. If you would rather start somewhere quieter, come Sunday evening at 6:00.

  2. Step 2

    Find Shoemaker Road

We are at 4283 Shoemaker Road SW, just off US-36 in Tuscarawas County. Parking is on the property; come in the main entrance.

  3. Step 3

    Walk in

Somebody will greet you and point you toward Sunday School or the auditorium. Sit wherever you like — nobody has an assigned pew, whatever they may tell you.

  4. Step 4

    That is it

You will not be asked to stand, introduce yourself, sign anything, or give anything. Come, sit, sing, and hear the Book preached.

The auditorium at Countryside Baptist Church viewed from the congregation, with families seated in the oak pews.
This is the room. No screens, no stage lights — a hymnal in the rack in front of you.

The questions people actually ask

What should I wear?
You will see suits and ties, and you will see slacks and a shirt. Come as you are able — nobody is going to hand you a dress code at the door.
Where do I park, and which door?
Parking is on the property off Shoemaker Road SW. Come in the main entrance; someone will be there to point you toward Sunday School or the auditorium.
Will I be singled out?
You will be greeted, and you will be glad you came — but you will not be asked to stand up, introduce yourself, or fill anything out.
What Bible do you preach from?
The King James Bible, every service. If you do not own one, we will put one in your hands.
What is the music like?
Classic hymns out of the hymnal, sung by the congregation. No band, no screens.
What about my children?
Sunday School has classes for every age at 10:00. Children are welcome in the service with you, and no one minds the noise.

Still would rather ask a person?

Call the church and somebody will talk you through it, or send a message and we will get back to you.

Come and see

You will not have to figure it out on your own.

Nobody will ask you to stand up, introduce yourself, or fill anything out. Park off Shoemaker Road, come in the main entrance, and somebody will point you where you need to go. Come as you are able — you will see suits and you will see shirtsleeves.
