Who we are
A country church that never went looking for a new identity.
Countryside Baptist Church was incorporated in Ohio in 1975 and has been meeting on Shoemaker Road ever since. What you find here on a Sunday is close to what you would have found here fifty years ago — and that is on purpose.
What we believe, in short

Countryside Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist church that believes in the King James Bible and values the timeless truths of God’s Word. Rather than following modern trends, we remain committed to traditional Bible preaching and teaching. Our worship features classic style hymns that honor our Saviour.
We warmly invite you to join us as we grow together in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Independent means there is no denominational headquarters setting our direction and no board in another state to answer to. This is a local New Testament church governing itself under one Head — Christ — with two biblical offices, pastor and deacon.

Our mission
The mission of Countryside Baptist Church is to glorify God by evangelizing our city, our county, our state, our country, and the world with the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; and by edifying the saints for the work of the ministry so that all may glorify our Father in Heaven.

Building up the saints for the work of the ministry, so that believers here grow up rather than merely attend.

Preached from, read from, and memorized out of — every service. We hold it to be the verbally inspired Word of God and the sole authority for faith and practice. If you do not own one, we will put one in your hands.

Hymns out of the hymnal
Classic hymns that honor our Saviour, sung by the whole congregation. There is no band and there are no screens — just a piano, a hymn number, and everybody singing the same words.

Rather than following modern trends we have stayed with traditional Bible preaching and teaching. You will hear a passage explained and applied, not a talk built around a video clip.
